I got a Generac and even though installation passed the safety test, as far as distance from doors and windows for carbon monoxide fumes I felt I needed the Carbon Monoxide alarm. I’m a customer with ADT so I had no problem getting an appointment and installation. Unfortunately I never received a manual of any kind, including something about the battery or the life of it. There is no info in my online account. Calling ADT for answers is a problem, because calls like mine are outsourced now and a person with poor language skills answers. I’m an older female and want to feel safe. I looked online and read different answers about the batteries, anything from 6 months to 3 years concerning the battery life. I also got no booklet as to what to expect should the alarm go off. My neighbor could have installed an alarm for me for a lot less and I bet the store bought one would come with instructions. Very disappointing after being an ADT customer for all these years
In summary, I would not recommend ADT Carbon Monoxide Alarm to a friend.
